Is the permanent lip procedure painful?
Topical anesthetics are used before and throughout the procedure, so discomfort is minimal. It’s normal for the area to be slightly swollen and tender post-procedure; similar to a mild sunburn.
How long does lip tattooing last?
With proper aftercare, you can expect your results to last approximately 3 years before needing a touchup.
Will lip blushing make my lips look fuller?
While lip blushing may enhance the shape of your lips, it does not actually alter the size or fullness of your lips. If you’re looking for volume, you may benefit from lip fillers like Juvaderm.
Can I customize the color?
Absolutely! Your artist will assist in choosing the ideal color for your skin tone and desired look.
Is there anyone who isn’t a candidate?
Unfortunately, we are not able to work on anyone who has been a smoker for any significant period of time (even if it was years ago). Smoking causes permanent damage to the lip tissue making it impossible to implant/retain pigment.
Additionally, if you have a history of cold sores, you will need to obtain a prescription for an anti-viral medication like Zovirax. You should take this 2 days prior, the day of, and 2 days following
your appointment.
